Hold-on to ur Character.

By the blessings of almighty I just got few minutes to sit by myself on this beautifully boring day in office. The day started with pleasant breeze, clouds in the sky, cool wind, beautiful trees, enchanting fields, riding my bike to office (without doctor’s permission), witnessed rain in the way, crossed potholes, survived water logged areas, got my shoes spoiled, got my myself, turban and cloths wet, gathered enough patience to be able to drive up to the office, enjoying the chill inside office within my wet cloths… I blindly believe that whatever god will send for me... would be “Best”. If this is one of the best day god gave me, then I can’t ask for a better day.
I’m still getting surprised by rules, laws, guidelines, and specifications of this life. Personally I don’t think this was a gr8 start of my day, but if god gave it; then I’m nobody to question. Drowned in the same waters of surprise I just started wondering the 2nd definition of “Character”, bcoz according to me a man’s character are his attributes that determines his moral and ethical actions and reactions. But… according to Life is there any other meaning?
Some says that the education/knowledge is most valuable acquisition in life, but I feel that the character is more valuable than knowledge. One may be a learned scholar, or hold a high social position/authority, or may be very wealthy or may they become an eminent scientist, but if the person does not have character, all the other attainments are of no use at all. I have seen people being respected and lifted to heights of popularity, but only till the time they are having the power/position/authority, once down from the height… they fall into the mud of anonymity. Sacrifice, love, compassion, and forbearance are few of the sterling human qualities that u should foster in the character. One must get rid of all worldly negative energies like jealousy, hatred, ego and anger, which are bestial tendencies.
I would luv to ask my friends that: Do I have this kinda admirable Character? By the grace of god all my friends are too busy in enjoying the worldly gifts, and being a good friend I will avoid disturbing and spoiling their festivity moods. By any chance if u (my reader) is having enough of time to think about my question, then please reply…. And please be honest too.
Ur reply is not the only thing I’m looking forward to, I’m also very much interested to see u slowing down for a minute and think the same thing about ur Character too. I would be one of the proudest of people if I’m able to help u spend that precious time with urself.
I luv u all strangers, my acquaintances, friends, enemies, relatives, and colleagues; I agree that many of us have been separated in life and had gone away on different roads, but I will always luv u all for invading my life from time to time. I’m so much thankful to my adorable wife for sharing this wisdom and changing my life forever.

The Time Traveller's Wife

Thou I saw this movie many weeks back on Romedy Now (I think), but now only I got time to write a praise of it. My apologies for the delay.
This movie was released in 2009, it’s based on a novel with the same name. The adorable couple role of Hennry (played by Eric Bana) and Clare (played by Rachel McAdams) was really touchy, I must say that director had brought out those small precious feelings into this movie. The wiki link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Time_Traveller%27s_Wife) tells it all about the movie but I would say that u should not read the story, let it all come upon u as the movie progresses.
Plz just don’t go to do timepass with this movie, this is not a comedy or sex romance movie. It have lots of unsaid feelings into those small small expressions, u will find those glaring emotions between those unspoken words. Don’t evaluate the movie with the words “Time travell”, try to live those characters and u’ll be able to feel it. At many places even when the scenes/story were predictable…. I was still touched with expressions and the acting of the people. I really luv the way the movie progresses, kept me holding on to the story at every step of it.
If someday u r not in a mood to get drunk, or spoil urslf on bed, then I would like u to spend some time seeing behind the “science fiction” and “predictable story”of this beautiful movie. Do share with me about what u liked in the movie.... :)
Luv,

Muruganantham "2014 Time 100" list

Muruganantham is in 2014 Time 100 list
by Malarthamil
(Article from TruthDive website)
Chennai, Apr 29 (TruthDive): Muruganantham is in 2014 Time 100 list. The list of 100 influential persons chronicled by Time magazine for the year 2014 includes few Indians. They are qualified on the basis of "who most influence our world."
Most of the Indian media have celebrated after finding  the names of Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal, and Arundhati Roy in the 2014 Time 100 list. But, much attention is not given to one person from the southern part of India.
He is Arunachalam Muruganantham, He has been described by Time magazine as "unlikely health crusader", whose unique idea to help his wife led to the invention of a machine that manufactures low-cost sanitary pads.
In 2009, Truthdive published an article about this very important person. We quote from our own article.
A school dropout from Coimbatore, Arunachalam Muruganantham (43) invented a sanitary napkin machine which could produce 1000 pieces of napkins in just eight hours at a cost of Re.1.00 per piece. This machine was priced at Rs.85,000 only. The napkin produced by this machine was not only inexpensive but also environment-friendly and hygienic. This machine has got the potential of marginalising the MNCs who manufacture sanitary napkins and is about to force them to reduce the prices of their products.

In the above article we have quoted Thirukkural ( 1025)
The world will flock around onedevoted to honest social service

We are happy that our wishes have come true. We congratulate Muruganantham for this honour!
Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal can influence India. Arundhati Roy can influence intellectual world. But, Muruganantham  influenced the whole humanity. He is the most useful person of all the Indians listed in 2014 Time 100. He deserves to be celebrated more. Only such recognition can bring more innovation. What is the use of opening thousands of Engineering Colleges when we are not able to invent more like this?

We again quote from our own article,
To Mr. Muruganantham for his idea making a global impact. The achievement of Muruganantham shall be considered less if it is mere an invention, it is great if it is looked at as a social service benefiting millions of poor women around the world.

Killes or convicts?, A beautiful Post to share...

Rajiv Gandhi Assassination – Killers or Convicts?

by Sidharth Gautham Sunder

Chennai, Apr 26 (TruthDive): In Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, the Indian media is calling the convicts as killers. This is a classic case in which at least one of the convicts Perarivaalan is claiming innocence but has been awarded death penalty. He is repeatedly called as 'killer' thousands of times in hundreds of media all over the world.

Perarivaalan. ( This Tamil  name can be translated as 'the man who rules great knowledge'). He was young when he went to prison. His personality has been assassinated every minute for decades. He is now in the middle age. No one knows whether this man will die inside or outside. More and more hair will turn grey. More and more time will be taken to examine the Great Indian Constitution. What is his fate?

The following are the recent title headlines in Indian media about the release of the convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.

Supreme Court refers Rajiv Gandhi killers' release case to ...
Indian Express

Why a BJP govt may be good for Rajiv Gandhi's killers?
Firstpost

Rajiv Gandhi`s killers to stay in jail, for now
Zee News

Rajiv Gandhi's killers to remain in jail
India Today

No relief for Rajiv Gandhi killers; SC refers case to constitutional bench
Livemint

SC defers Rajiv Gandhi killers' case to constitutional bench
Delhi Daily News

The Main stream, Sub stream, Undercurrent and Lava media call seven convicts including the following three persons as killers. V Sriharan alias Murugan, AG Perarivalan alias Arivu, and T Suthendraraja alias Santhan.

Once upon a time , one woman called Dhanu acted as human suicide bomber and killed Rajiv Gandhi. She was the killer. She committed both homicide and suicide. The rest of the alleged persons can be called as conspirators. After the sentence is awarded by the court, they are to be called convicts. Only the person who is directly involved in a killing can be called a killer.

Other important alleged person Sivarasan was killed by the police. In 2009, V.Prabakaran, chief of LTTE, alleged to have ordered the assassination was  killed. But that is not enough for revenge, it appears. Why no one understands that Revenge is not Justice?

Is the killer alive now?

Is the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case closed? What happened to the allegations of conspiracy by many Indian citizens and VIPs enquired by Jain Commission? Will you call all of them as killers?

Refer

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/killer
kill•er
a person or thing that kills someone or something
a : one that has a forceful, violent, or striking impact
b : one that is extremely difficult to deal with

The killer is an opt word more widely used for denoting a thing than a person. Why the English media enjoy using the word "killer" to the alleged persons who are convicts now? The case of Perarivalan is very peculiar and it is widely reported that he is innocent. Calling him a killer is the most damaging attack on human rights.

Those who have time,  can read this story by Leo Tolstoy." God Sees the Truth, But Waits"

http://www.online-literature.com/tolstoy/2061/

In this story, an innocent " Aksianov" is punished for a murder and  spends his life in Siberia prison and dies after meeting and helping the real culprit. Wonderful story. Here we see some excerpts in the beginning and the climax of the story.

And Aksionov wrote no more petitions; gave up all hope, and only prayed to God.

Aksionov was condemned to be flogged and sent to the mines. So he was flogged with a knot, and when the wounds made by the knot were healed, he was driven to Siberia with other convicts.

For twenty-six years Aksionov lived as a convict in Siberia. His hair turned white as snow, and his beard grew long, thin, and grey. All his mirth went; he stooped; he walked slowly, spoke little, and never laughed, but he often prayed.

................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

When Aksionov heard him sobbing he, too, began to weep. "God will forgive you!" said he. "Maybe I am a hundred times worse than you." And at these words his heart grew light, and the longing for home left him. He no longer had any desire to leave the prison, but only hoped for his last hour to come.

In spite of what Aksionov had said, Makar Semyonich confessed, his guilt. But when the order for his release came, Aksionov was already dead.

Hope  Perarivaalan is not Indian Aksionov. If the above happens to Perarivaalan, there will be no God. A section of population led by Arputhammal, mother of Perarivaalan is waiting for him outside the gates. Arputhammal is a fighting mother who will never give up. They all expect Perarivalan to come out, get married, enjoy his life, get everything, speak a lot,  smile, laugh and share his experiences.

It is a pity that the Supreme Court of India has referred this case to a larger constitutional bench to be dragged for a further period. All along this period, the media is going to call Perarivaalan a killer. The Supreme Court which criticized the delay in processing mercy petition now must bestow mercy on these persons so that they come out of the prison alive. Showing Mercy shall never have any conflict with the Justice.

We have to pose a question. Is it a question of who has the power to kill or release the convict? The state Government or Central Government? Why is this question raised now after a prolonged trial ? How many doubts and questions are yet to come? How many more years you are going to torture an innocent? Is it to safeguard the real culprits?

For media, the court has awarded more chances to kill the English word "Killer". Kindly do not use this word on at least one person who is suspected to be innocent. You have already killed him many times. Then why this kolavery?

More from Askianov of Leo Tolstoy

"So you, too, suspect me!" said Aksionov, and, hiding his face in his hands, he began to weep. Then a soldier came to say that the wife and children must go away; and Aksionov said good-bye to his family for the last time.

When they were gone, Aksionov recalled what had been said, and when he remembered that his wife also had suspected him, he said to himself, "It seems that only God can know the truth; it is to Him alone we must appeal, and from Him alone expect mercy."

................................................................................................................................................................

"It is easy for you to talk," said Aksionov, "but I have suffered for you these twenty-six years. Where could I go to now?... My wife is dead, and my children have forgotten me. I have nowhere to go..."

Beginning of the Ice Age…. ☺

Deadly snowstorms cause transport chaos across Japan

Tokyo, Feb 18 (TruthDive): The record snowfall that hit eastern Japan over the weekend has killed 12 people, left more than 1,650 injured and has sparked widespread transport chaos.
Some 27cm of snow were dumped on Tokyo on Friday and Saturday, and several other cities stated record snowfall. Parts of Yamanashi region, west of Tokyo, witnessed more than a 1.1m of snow, the most the region has seen since records began in 1894.
Police said building were collapsed due to heavy snowfall. Roofs of buildings had collapsed under the weight of snow in some areas. While in Yamanashi prefecture, two men froze to death in separate incidents while trying to walk home from stranded cars and hundreds of drivers had been left stranded in miles-long traffic jams.
The deadly snowstorm left cars on the highway deserted and, in few cases, entire villages were cut off from transport due to snow-covered roads.
With hundreds were stuck in their vehicles, some towns opened up public buildings and provided free food and warmth, especially to drivers running out of fuel. With stuck up cars increasing the difficulties of the clean-up, many regions have asked for military help in digging up the roads.
Yamanashi was attacked by over 100 cm snow and 150 hotel guests in Fujikawaguchiko were cut off from help while some 1,000 vehicles remained stuck on roads. About 700 passengers were snow-trapped on trains on the JR Chuo Line since Friday.
Japanese car makers, including Honda and Toyota, were forced to suspend their operations after the heavy snow disturbed their supply chains and prevented workers from travelling. The national broadcaster NHK said more than 600 flights, mostly domestic, across the country were also cancelled.
It is the second major snowstorm to hit Japan in a week. Last week, Tokyo residents were cautioned of a severe snowstorm for the first time in more than a decade.
The Japan Meteorological Agency has cautioned with the storm heading towards north, sections of Northern island of Hokkaido have been given warning of heavy snowfall and avalanches.
