The Picture of gaping chasms in a Japanese road demonstrated the power of the March 11 earthquake. Now the astonishing speed of reconstruction highlights Japan's ability to get back on its feet.
Work began on March 17 and six days later, the cratered section of the Great Kanto Highway in Naka was as good as new and ready to re- open to traffic.

It is a modest, but symbolic, sign that almost two weeks after a powerful earthquake and tsunami devastated its north-east coast, Japan is rebuilding.
The earthquake on 11 March tore apart this stretch of road in Ibaraki prefecture, leaving gaping cracks up to 150 metres long and presenting yet another obstacle to emergency workers travelling north from Tokyo.
Just six days later – last Thursday, 17 March – the road had been transformed. Before-and-after photographs released by East Nippon Expressway on Wednesday show the astonishing speed with which the road has been repaired.
The fissures have been filled and covered in tarmac. A twisted fence along the verge is now perfectly straight. Only the road signs and trees in the distance remain unchanged.
The road, which was due to reopen to traffic on Wednesday night, is one of several signs that the physical recovery has begun.
The building of temporary housing has started in Kamaishi, a town in Iwate prefecture where thousands of residents were left homeless by the tsunami. More temporary homes will start going up in the nearby towns of Ofunato and Miyako on Friday. The reconstruction effort received another boost on Thursday with the reopening of the Tohoku Expressway, which had been closed to all except emergency vehicles. Better access to the disaster zone means essential supplies are finally getting through to the estimated 250,000 people living in evacuation centres.
"I think the government is doing a pretty good job of getting the roads open," said Chad Huddlestone, a volunteer with the Be One Network in Miyagi prefecture. "They are getting water to the people. Overall, I think they are doing a good job of getting it started. But there's still a lot to do."
Mobile phone firms have set up new transmission stations, and crews of workers are fixing damaged power lines. Japan's post office has sent trucks around the affected area to enable people to withdraw cash from their postal bank accounts.
Some survivors have been able to take a hot bath and change into fresh clothes for the first time in almost a fortnight.
This is the reason I respect people of Japan more then I admire them, may almighty lord keep u all Japanese blessed :)

Gentle Reminder To Humanity.

The greatest Gift u can give someone is.....  "Ur Time".
Bcoz whenever u give ur time to someone.....
U tend to be giving them a "Priceless" portion of ur "Life"....
A portion: which u will NEVER get back to live again.
Hindi:
Agar aap Zindagi ka sabse mahatpoorn uphar kisi ko de saktey hai toh woh hai aapka Samay. Kiyuki jab aap kisi ko apna samay daitey hai tab aap unkey sath apni zindagi ka woh hissa baantey hai jo ki aapki zindagi mein dobara kabhi waapas nahi aayega.
I thank all of my friends & strangers who gave their time to me on various occasions in life, I thank everybody of u who have spent even a single minute for me. I know I'll never be able to repay for it, so as a token of thanks... I'm giving my time to everybody who had approached me in a hope to share something/anything with me.
May god keeps me blessed so that I can always be rich enough to give my time to everybody and anybody who needs a shoulder.
May god bless u too.... who knows if there is someone out there in this world who is waiting for u also to share/give ur time to them... :)

Where we (humans) made the mistake?

Never take failure to your heart; and success to your mind.

This beautiful quote is really effective, but only if u remember it in all gud/tough times. But a Q surprised me when my own heart asked me "Why did people in Japan only suffered?" series of Quakes, and a devastating tsunami, a volcanic eruption, then explosion in a nuclear plant … obviously these are not just coincidences bundled together.

Seems as if we humans need to SERIOUSLY change.... not only our actions, but we need to change our thinking also. Being an embodiment of forgiveness, god always gives a 2nd chance to all his children. I feel that god had sent alarm to all of us with that glimpse of destruction; god knows that nothing can weaken their will power and his Japanese kids will stand up again the same way they did after WW-II, so he selected that area and gave a wake up call to rest of the world.

I don't know about all of u, but I feel embarrassed about my irresponsibility. I believe such punishments could have been reduced only if we had prayed with our complete heart. Do u also feel that we need to leave our materialistic approach and bring back the loving attitude in our life? I've seen people, who are scared of god, but I feel that god is not to be scared off, he should be loved… madly. Like parents scold when kids makes a mistake, same way we all get our share of scolding and punishments too. Either it be a reward or a punishment, why is it so that we are not able to take it calmly? We react so much about anything happening to us, we react to unwanted change which is forced into our life, we react about our expectations, we react about the delay in answering our prayers, we react about almost everything…. Should we react so much? Is this reaction required on the 1st place?

Nobody alive can control their life and Mother Nature, nor do we think can anybody come on earth that can ever control. The main Q is: Why we all are still making the same mistake of expecting things to happen only for a pleasant reason in our life? Why are we not able to tackle the unpleasant changes in life? Why we are not strong enough to say: "Everything happens with the wish of god, and I accept the wish of god". Why r we so much drowned in our life that we are not able to pray for everybody alive around us?

Another set of punishments are already waiting to happen… >>>

I know sometimes I really suck, but please forgive me... I'm sad... Before asking for forgiveness (for myself), let me pray for survivors in Japan, okie friends…. I'll write more… but later.

God bless us all.
